Abbey Glen and 3 Eagles, LLC has found its niche in the Piedmont. Their customer service philosophy is appealing and apparent to everyone who walks through the opulent lead glass door that leads to the Club House and Sales Center. The first thing you notice is the smell of cookies baking, then you are welcomed by Sabrina Posey, Sales and Marketing Director for Abbey Glen. Sabrina is an attractive woman; with a warm, friendly smile and a genuine desire to help you; she knows that in this competitive industry, she and her team make sure their customers are well taken care of. After spending time with Sabrina you forget you’re not in her home or that you haven’t known her for years; she has an outgoing and caring manner that engulfs you. She explained to me how Abbey Glen and 3 Eagles, LLC decided to build in Gibsonville, North Carolina.

During trips to North Carolina to visit his daughter at Camp Lejune, Duane Cathell often found himself driving through our area. Duane and business partner Lyle Wiley of 3 Eagles LLC, had been searching out areas in North Carolina to build. Falling in love with the area, they decided to purchase land and franchise with Epcon Communities to bring the Abbey Glen Community to Gibsonville.

Based in New Albany, Ohio, 3 Eagles LLC has been in business for seven years. Epcon Communities, Inc.  based in Dublin, Ohio, is one of the leading developers and franchise operators of single-story residential condominium communities in the United States. By the end of 2006, Epcon Communities and its franchise affiliates had developed more than 20,000 homes in more than 30 states and was ranked the second largest for-sale condo builder in the United States by Builder Magazine in 2007. Sabrina Posey, Sales and Marketing Director for Abbey Glen said, “Community is very important to us.  We may be from Ohio, but every subcontractor we use is local. We try to keep as much money in Alamance and Guilford Counties as possible. We strive to be part of the community.”

Sabrina, a self-described military brat, moved to Burlington in 1981, where she raised her two daughters, Jocelyn and Brigette. Sabrina left Burlington in 2005.  After living in Northern Virginia for a while, she found herself back in North Carolina, living in Asheville. She had always wanted to come back to Burlington, and her daughters encouraged her to move back to the family home. In 2007, Sabrina made the move back to Burlington.  During a conversation with a friend, Sabrina was told 3 Eagles LLC and Epcon Communities were building in Burlington and needed a Sales and Marketing Director for their new community. Sabrina grabbed the bull by the horns, picked up the phone, called Ohio, told them to look no further, she wanted the job. She soon found out she did have the job and found herself headed to Ohio for training. Sabrina said, “During my training, I got to see the homes being built from the ground up. I was very impressed. My grandfather was a contractor who built houses in Spruce Pine, North Carolina. I remember going to visit him in the summers, going to work with him, seeing how they put homes together. When I was in Ohio, I remember thinking ‘this looks like something my grandfather would think was a good product.’ I got really excited about it.”

Abbey Glen is a new concept to our community consisting of one level condos taking condominium living to a whole new level. Centrally located on highway 70, Abbey Glen is being built on fifty plus acres with one hundred sixty two condominiums surrounded by an extensive green space, walking trails, and natural streamways.  Sabrina said, “Our condominiums fit together like a puzzle, with two in the front and two in the back with one common wall in the garage and the other in the laundry room and kitchen. No bedrooms touch. They fit together in such a way that it gives the appearance of a single family home. Each one is constructed with stone, brick, and LP Smartside®. There is no vinyl anywhere.”

Abbey Glen has five beautiful floor plans from 1324 square feet to 1926 square feet; three single level and two multi-level floor plans. The Classic condominiums include the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom Villa floor plan and the 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom Chateau and Windsor floor plans. The Cathedral Collection includes the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom Abbey floor plan and the 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom Canterbury floor plan. Each style has cathedral ceilings and a double car garage. The Abbey and Canterbury floor plans include a Veranda room.

A Clubhouse is available to residents of Abbey Glen with resort style amenities including a kitchen with appliances, heated outdoor swimming pool, pool table and fitness center with television monitor.

Sabrina said, “It’s so exciting watching it all come together, seeing a building being started and completed for the first time. This is the first job I’ve ever had when I actually enjoy getting up and coming into work. I get to meet so many wonderful people. Being the only woman, I get a little spoiled. I’m very fortunate. I know a lot of people say that, but I truly do work with the best guys ever. ” When Sabrina isn’t working, she enjoys, reading, gardening, remodeling her home and spending time with her daughters and boyfriend Jim Burwell.

If living in a community environment surrounded by lush green space and peaceful walking trails sounds like your slice of heaven, 3 Eagles invites you to join Abbey Glen. Your new home is waiting for you.
